Can't download the Xbox Gold featured Xbox 360 game

I have the Xbox gold membership and can download the free Xbox One games each month. However, when I try to get the xbox 360 games:

This month's game is Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. From the game page, I hit "See the price"

From the page titled "Xbox One Backward Compatibility" I press continue and have to wait about 10-20 seconds for the next page to load. I can move the cursor during this time, so the console is not freezing.

At the "Confirm Purchase" page: When I hit Confirm, the page darkens and the confirm button fills in green. The page darkens even more with every press on confirm. This has been happening with the Free Xbox 360 games for a few months now, so it is a recurring
issue. Has anybody else encountered this and found a fix?

Hey there Branky!

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue trying to get these backwards compatible game.

I'm not sure if you have or not, but I think it might be best for you to try the claim for this game off of a 360 console instead. This being because the 360 console can communicate better with

360 marketplace than the Xbox One, that has to access it through an emulator.

If and when you can, give that a shot and let us know how that helped!

That issue happens when your physical region is different from your account region.

I would try claiming it from Xbox.com. I had to do that a couple times in the past.

Can you try to get the game from browser on your computer by going to xbox.com?

Also make sure you have a valid payment method set on your account as it is required to get even the free Xbox 360 games. Another thing to check is whehter your billing method’s region, console’s region and account’s region are all same.
