    Can't Download System Update to sign in to Xbox Live


    So I went on to turn on my Xbox 360 and it was working fine until it said that I needed to download an update in order to sign into Xbox Live. I started doing that but somewhere along the line the download bar stopped and random polygons came up on the screen
    so it basically froze. I turned on my console again and I saw I had a Red Dot with nothing on the screen. I was thinking that my Xbox 360 broke down even though I got it fixed, but then I decided to take out the A/V Cable and turn it on to see what happens
    and the Xbox 360 was green and working fine. It then made me wonder if it was the A/V Cables or the System Update so I turned on my Xbox 360 with the cables, said No to the update, and played a game and that turned out fine. So I wondering if my A/V Cables
    are the problem or was downloading the system update the problem?

    Xbox Live with Hughesnet

    I can't even sign into xbox live on hughes net...When I turn my console on, it says that an update is required to sign in to xbox live, but it's currently unavailable...I installed the update via flash drive after downloading it on my computer, so I know
    that the update stuck, but I can't sign in to xbox live at all...I can download updates and everything else, just can't sign in...so GAY!!!!

    I am receiving an error when logging into Xbox Live. "A system update is required to sign in, but the update is currently unavailable." I can test the connection and it fails at the Xbox Live portion. I also have received "Can't download the update.
    To test your connection, open System Settings..." Status Code: 3f4b-0000-3080-0502-8015-000a



    Please help This has been going on for weeks and I am getting fed up.

    Can't Download System Update to sign in to Xbox Live

    Ok so I was able to download the update, but it took quite a few times because it kept freezing up. Now I'm wondering if it's the AV Cables,the actual Xbox Live service, or my Internet that's causing this constant freezing and strange things to occur.

    Ok I think I fixed it. I moved the place I had my console at for a long time to another place and it worked.

    Optional media update

    The Media Update isn't a title update it's actually DLC, unfortunately if you can't connect to Xbox live you can't download DLC. Even if you downloaded it on an alternative Xbox the update wouldn't be signed to work on your console.

    BS Mythos. I signed in this morning. Thing prompted me to update, when through it's download and install, then I got: Update failed. A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable.

    The status code says its something with its Live connection, which could be as annoying as "I need to connect to LIVE to download the update! but... I can't connect to LIVE without the update... but I need to connect to download the update! But I can't connect
    without the update..." over and over again.

    Can't process the update...

    It is a system update. Therefore I am not allowed to download my profile because I can't connect to Xbox Live without this update. Clearing the system cache does nothing.
