Can't download profile - SOLVED

Ever try to play a 360 game on your xb1, but couldn't because you can't download your profile? Do you continually get sent to your "Test Connection" screen, only to be told all is well?

Fear not! This could be the solution you seek. It MAY even sound obvious in just a moment. LOL!

"What we have hear is a failure to communicate! Some men just cayn't be reached". This is the famous quote from the film "Coolhand Luke" and it's exactly right. The emulated 360 running on your xb1 is just that, a FAKE 360. It has no physical ports or places
to plug ANYTHING into it. Easy so far? This means that your fake 360 MUST "talk" to your real, physical xb1 "wirelessly". Make sense? Soooo, since xb1 AUTOMATICALLY disabled wireless connections when it has an Ethernet cable attached, your fake 360 CANNOT
communicate with your xb1 since the 360 is talking on Wi-Fi while your xb1 has Wi-Fi disabled. Pretty simple, eh?

Simply unplug your xb1 and setup a wireless connection. Make sure you "shutdown" your fake 360 by quitting the game. After setting up your wireless connection, insert your 360 disk and start again. Now, you can download your profile on your fake 360 because
it can now "talk" to your xb1.

It is my guess that nearly everyone experiencing this has a wired connection, for one reason or another. If your xb1 is connected wirelessly already, you may try deleting your current wireless connection and making a new one. If your router isn't Wi-Fi enabled,
consider upgrading.

I still can't download my profile for over a week now.. Ridiculous,.. Endless useless support calls and chats.. Escalation that ends no where with promises that issues will be solved in 24-48 hour and nothing. I am currently in Egypt but my wife is trying
to download the profile back in NJ.

 

Microsoft doesn't have solution?
