Can't Download Profile - Error Code 8007274C

Hello,

I'm having trouble downloading my profile to my 360. When I try and download it I get the message "Sorry, Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later 8007274C".

I've tried removing the hard drive and downloading to a USB drive instead, but I get the exact same error. I also tried downloading on a different Xbox 360, but also got the same error.

I was having issues with being signed out of Xbox Live whenever I started a game, and was unable to sign back in until I quit the game. The recommended fix for this was to delete my profile, clear the cache 3 times, restart the 360 then download my profile
again. So I deleted my profile, cleared the cache 3 times, restarted the 360 but now it won't download my profile.

I did try searching the error code, however the result it comes up with is related to downloading system updates. As far as I can tell my 360 is fully up-to-date and I haven't had any problems with updates. I was able to play online with no issues a few
days ago.

 

It could be a problem with your actual account. Try downloading your account from a friends xbox and see if the error comes up still. If it does then see if there is anything in your accounts files which may affect it.

 

Ok so I spoke to Xbox support earlier this week and they managed to get this sorted for me. Figured I should post the resolution to close this out. I have to say I was actually pretty impressed with Xbox support, I didn't have to wait long to speak to someone,
they were very polite and helpful and managed to get this issue sorted.

The fix is a bit unconventional but it worked. What they told me to do was, whilst my 360 was on, disconnect the power. Obviously you need to be careful when doing this. By far the best way is to just switch it off at the wall. Doing this must force the
360 to do some sort of reset or memory clear. When I switched my 360 back on after doing this I was able to download my profile fine and everything seems to be working ok now. Problem solved!
