"Can't download" problems

I'm going to report this behalf of my friend since his computer is being fixed, and isn't used to the forums. He's been trying to download Lara Croft: GoL on GwG. Then, when he tries to download it, it stays for about a minute, then he gets the message "Can't
download Lara Croft: GoL". He tells me his internet is all working fine, and has no problems with it. Any solutions for this?

Did you recently move between countries like us or uk to canada?

If so that would be why as they all are region locked content

it may work with region migration tool if from us

no garentees

 

Here's a few questions that could help clear this up a bit.

1.Is he a current Gold Member?

2.Does he have a credit card on file?

3.Does he have a HDD with enough storage space?

 

Hi I have same problem...

Before a while I bought the game 'ArcaniA' in Gold membership deal, but when I want download it. Xbox say 'I cant download ArcaniA'. Never before I see this message, often says that on disc is not space for download. I tried clean cash, check harddisc, but
there is enough space and no errors. Is it only my problem, or is some error in your system? Can you help me please?

No he doesn't have a payment option in file, and that doesn't belong to this since he already got the license. Yes, he has a 12 month Gold membership. He told me that his hard drive space is about 200 GB of space left.

 

Unfortunately, he needs to have a credit card or some form of payment linked to his account to purchase that material.

Tell him to try to download the trial of the game first, since you say that he thinks he already has the license. If he had the license, he should have the game.

 

Can you ask him to, on the console, go to Settings/Account/Download History?

If he can see Guardian of Light there (should be top of the list, or near) then any talk of needing a payment option is moot and the problem is restricted to the actual downloading.

If he can see it there, ask him to delete the partial download file from his Hard Drive and to
clear the cache. Then restart the console and go into the Download History again and press A then choose Download Again.
