    Can't download or install xbox game pass app


    Dear reader,

    I have had the xbox game pass app but received an error that my app was not updated anymore. I tried updating in throught the microsoft store but it wouldn't let me do that. The next step I took was to uninstall the app and to re-iunstall the correct/updated version. Sadly I haven't been able to complete this step.

    I went to the microsoft store and tried installing it but it won't do anything. The app just stays stuck and I can't click install. It also mentions I own the app; I tried:

    - troubleshooting tru windows

    - resetting the app

    - wsreset

    These things havent helped. I tried checking for updates, my windows is up to date. I tried download the xboxinstaller.exe but when running the exe file, I can check the read and accept license things but can't click install, it just doesnt do anything. It also stays stuck until I close down the program tru task manager.

    I ask helped for IT friends and checked all steps on the xbox forum but everything I tried has resulted in nothing so far. I cant access the games I bought and can't play it. I really need help as I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for over a week.

    Xbox App broken game installs

    The games don't show up in the apps list. I can't cancel or download the games through the Microsoft Store, it requires me to install said games through the Xbox app (game pass games). I tried wsreset, but it didn't resolve the issue, as the 2 games still show up as ready to install, and I can't do anything except view the installs in the Xbox app

    The Microsoft Store only provides an "Install from Xbox App" button for Xbox Game Pass games instead of a download option, which then opens a game's install page in the Xbox App.

    Game Pass (again)

    You can install the Xbox Game Pass mobile app, and it will send notifications when games are leaving Game Pass and when new games arrive. If you can't install the app, you can follow Xbox Game Pass on Twitter. There is also a Game Pass section on the Home
    Dashboard of the Xbox console now where you can find this information.

    Hi Pawer 8,

    You will need to update Windows to 1903 in order to download the Xbox (beta) app game launcher and then you will be able to download games available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If the update is not being offered in your Windows update settings, try running
    the Xbox (beta) app installer and it should also walk you through updating Windows.

    If you still can't update Windows to download the app, then try using the Update Assistant: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate not allowing to download PC Game Pass products on PC

    Are you downloading from the Microsoft Store app? If so, try downloading from the Xbox app (not the console companion app) instead. If you don't have that app downloaded, you can download it at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-game-pass/pc-games?xr=shellnav
    After my computer went through the lengthy update (wasn't aware I wasn't up to the most recent version), I was able to finally install the Xbox app and can now install all the games that come with Game Pass Ultimate. Kinda embarrassed that it was such a simple
    fix. Thanks!
