Can't download my Xbox Live Profile!

So I'm trying to recover a gamertag on my 360, but it gets to about half way and then a message pops up saying:

"Sorry, Xbox Live Profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later 80072746"

It's really annoying me, I've tried a million times..

Any solutions?

i can't download my xbox live profile to console.

early i've connect with my xbox live account on console but now it don't work.

the xbox live connection is working but it no log in.

so i tryed to download my profile without success.

now i dont have more my avatar on xbox and can't download my profile. it shows the error 80004005

please help.

Welcome to the forums

I have had a chat with the Online Phone support and explained the whole issue to them. They did suggest a possible explanation when I gave them the error message and code that you have provided within these support forums.

They said it could be something to do with a System Update not properly Installing its self onto the Xbox 360, would you be able to please follow the instructions within this support Article. The link to the article is bellow

You will also need to manually insert the Error code into the search box in order to view the article.

After you have installed the update, please try downloading your profile back onto your Xbox 360. If you have no further luck. Then there could be something wrong with your Microsoft account. Meaning that you will need to contact Phone support or Chat support.

all that you suggested has been told to us by MS support many times over,many of us have repeated these and more steps multiple times,but thanks for trying to help,it appears to be an issue on their end,its been 3 days for me now and theyve sent the issue
to the tech team who apparently love a good puzzle to solve,thats what a rep told me,well lets see them fix this because now its just bloody ridiculous!!!
