    Can't download my 360 profile to play backwards compatible games.


    Right, so I load my backwards compatible game (Black ops 2). It has the 360 splash screen followed by a greyish screen with a progress bar saying getting your info. this fails, the screen goes black and the game loads. attempting
    to go online however, it makes me attempt to download a profile. yet, after following the steps and clicking "download profile" it has a connection error.

    Now I am at university, so my internet is mac address forwarding. So i was just wondering that since backwards compatible games comes from an emulated 360, is the mac address the same or is it slightly different? And if it is slightly different how can I find
    it?

    I also need to check with my uni IT department that correct ports are open (but if they weren't open would I be able to play Xbox one games online????) Any smart eggs let me know if I'm missing anything?

    I have also power cycled my system.

    cleared the cache

    cleared my alternate mac address (How can i see what this even is?)

    deleted my profile entirely and downloaded it again (Xbox one profile - since Xbox support told me to)

    problems downloading a profile for backward compatibility

    nearly a month ago had this problem, I wanted to download my profile for backwards compatible Xbox 360 games and I can not, I have no profile to play backward compatible games, and less play online please help !!!!

    Sorry to hear it. I do know that some people have had issues with connecting a 360 console to their school's internet. Getting help from the Universities IT department is the best route to go here. They should be able sort you out so you can connect with
    both regular and BC titles.

    Ok Decent I'm Glad It IsThat sort of issue and nothing with my machine. Weird how Xbox ones connect seamlessly with my unis internet but not the 360 part :/

    Hello, my xbox live profile is called "RinsableMLG" and today for some reason, I can't play xbox 360 backwards compatible games be ause my profile won't download on the xbox 360 servers. I can play xbox one games, but I can't play my xbox 360 games
    and my profile won't download and it states "There's a problem with your credentials, blah blah blah". If I use my other two accounts, I can play on the xbox 360 games but not my RinsableMLG one. I seriosuly don't know what to do and I'm panicking right now.
    I have the exact same problem. I was just trying to play saints row but couldn't connect to xbox live on backwards compatibility. So I deleted my account and now I can't download on backwards compatibility with the same error message as you.
