Can't download Minecraft windows 10 - Code already redeemed

I am not an expert, and I have the same problem. I first bought the "Minecraft: Java Edition", I wanted to use the redeem code to get "Minecraft for Windows 10", so I clicked "Redeem", I got the code, but when I entered it, it said "The code has already
been redeemed.", I checked my order history, it said that I had bought "Minecraft for Windows 10" using the code, but when I clicked install, it keeps showing me a small window with my code. I then checked whether if the account/email on Mojang, Minecraft.net,
and Microsoft Store, it was the same. So I don't get why I can't install "Minecraft for Window 10".

Sorry to hear it. Have you tried checking the Windows Store app? If not then please launch it and click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Select My Library and search for your game. If it was added via the account you're using now then you should
find it there when you scroll through the list

The code is for redemption to assign it to your account, so the account that redeemed the code on the old laptop would still have the digital license for the game. The code is one-time use for acquiring that license. With the account that redeemed the
code, you should be able to download it from the store with the account that purchased it. Are you using the same Microsoft Account on your new computer?

when a code is redeemed (can only be redeemed once) then the purchase will be bound to the account used to redeem it.

Be sure to double check you are using the same account to download the game again as the one that was used to redeem the code.

If it's the same account then the content should be available to de installed again via the My Library section in the store app, be sure to double check if the account used in the store app is the same as used for the redeeming in 2017.

If you are 100% sure you are using the same account in the store app, but the game isn't showing as available to install then it might be best to contact Xbox Support via Phone (or chat) at

They should be able to look into it a bit further.

Actually it's a "Minecraft for Windows 10" and the redeem code is "F9C43-HD6HT-9KYKK-Y3DQJ-4WPFZ" but when I went to redeem it on the computer it displayed as already redeemed.
