Can't download large GwG Games?

    Can't download large GwG Games?


    The last two games (free with gold) that were 5-6 GB would not download to my console. It puts it in the que, but a few seconds later disappears. Everything else downloads fine, so this one has me really confused. I did the whole delete the corrupt file,
    delete and download profile, reset system, deleted cache, etc.. It seems to be something with these larger games, are they stored on another server or something?

    I live out in the country so my only option for internet is 3G, which works fine for us. Universal PNP is on, and I tried forwarding all the ports MS says the 360 needs directly to the static IP. The system is less than a year old and has plenty of hard
    drive space left. Tried adding the game from the console, and from the web, but the same thing happens.

    I just don't understand why I can download a 2GB game, but when it comes to these larger free games it instantly fails.

    Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

    If I download the demo of these particular games, will it still download the entire 6GB when I go to download the full version?

    Thanks for any help you can provide, I didn't get anywhere when contacting Microsoft. Just the same routine mentioned above...

    ok here is a couple questions which you should always answer so people can troubleshoot

    what is your account region

    what is your actual region (us foreign bases don't count as the us)

    what is your speedtest.net result

    what is your connection type 3g lte or cable dsl or fibre

    3g and lte is not usable for large downloads

    if you have less then 5mbs it wont work for large downloads

    gwg full games on demand games are large vs arcade titles which are only a few hundred megs

    also if your account region matches your actual region are you backgrounding your downloads that would be why you need to keep the screen active for large downloads if you have a slow connection

    for MOST gwg triple a titles they are region locked

    Transferring downloaded Games (GWG)?

    You mean I can't download Sleeping Dog (GwG) via flashdrive from my console (under my gamertag) and upload it to my little bro's console so that he could play it under his gamertag?

    If you haven't downloaded the game before, in GwG. So maybe you will be able to download the game sometimes. Maybe in GwG this game will be.

    If you have a GwG game, you only have to have a gold membership. To play GwG games.

    It has been clearly stated by MS that the X1 will get one GWG each month, the previous GWG will be available for a month after. #IDARB was the Feb game, Worms the January game, and so on. Until the game library on the X1 gets as large as the 360, nothing
    will be changing.

    Can I download Forza Horizon 2 (FH2) even if owned the game through games with gold?

    i own the game so can download it still, my son had it via GwG and he still has the option to download under the GwG library.

    Can't dowload annything. Credit card info couldn't be retrieved.

    I have started getting exactly the same message. I never have and never will register my CC with Microsoft. XBOne GWG can be bought and downloaded fine but 360 GWG Free games I get this error. I know you can't (and never have been able to) 'purchase'
    360 GWG via the website so I always boot up my 360 just to purchase them. Now I can't even get them via my 360! It has effectively halved the GWG I can get with my Gold subscription.

    What gives Microsoft!?
