Can't download items on Xbox one

As of midday yesterday I can't download items on my Xbox one. I have tried to download an item included in AC Syndicate season pass and a free avatar item obtained by being in the preview program. However, whenever I try to download it just spins for awhile
and then returns to the dashboard. I have restarted my Xbox but still does not work.

DLC problems

Some items that are stored on your Xbox 360 console can’t be transferred from one profile to a another profile. For example, Xbox LIVE Games Store content cannot be transferred to a different profile. If you can't move an item to a different profile, you
have to download the item using the second profile in the same way that you obtained the item using the original profile. More info here:

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down the unplug all cables and let it sit for 5 minutes to see if that helps?

 

I tried your suggestion, but unfortunately it did not work. Other suggestions?

 

How are you connected? If wireless can you try using an ethernet cable?

 

I am currently connected wirelessly. I believe I have a long ethernet cable that I can try, but I'll have to find it. Of course that's not a permanent solution because I don't have an ethernet port over there.

 

FYI: Streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon, etc…work fine.

 

I understand completely. The ethernet cable is just a short term solution to rule out issues with wireless. While we're waiting can you run a test at speedtest.net and post back your ping, up and download speeds?

 

This is from my laptop over the same wireless connection. Is there a way to test it on the Xbox?

I found the ethernet cable, but I'm going to have to do some rearranging to make it work. It's not quite long enough! I'll have to do that later this afternoon. Can't do it right now.

 

Thanks for posting back. The speeds are fine. Just wanted to check. Post back when you have the console hooked up to let me know if that has worked for you.

 

I was able to get the ethernet extended long enough to connect to the Xbox. Still no dice. In case this helps, I'm not even getting to the screen to verify I want to download.

As I stated earlier, all streaming apps are working with no issues and I AM connected to Xbox Live with no issues.

 

Ok, that is strange that nothing seems to be working then. Are you able to call phone support? Perhaps there is something they can suggest. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269

 

Actually, before you do that try deleting your gamertag from the console, power cycle and re-add. If that doesn't work then give them a call.
