Can't download Halo 3... Ever.

In last may I bought Halo 3 from XBLMarketplace Games on Demand with the intent (who doesn't?) to download and play it. When I started the download, it started, then said "Can't download Halo 3" in the bottom with the guide symbol next to it. I tried redownloading
it and got the same error. Whenever I look at active downloads, It usually goes straight from pending to "Can't download". In system settings and memory, Halo 3 is listed with somewhere less than 800 kb (varies with download).

I would have to guess it would be my connection speed or my NAT (moderate) limiting my downloads to large files (I could download the H:R demo just fine which is almost 2 gbs). Please let me know if I'm wrong, or how to remove this limit if possible.

Wend I try to download Halo: Reach or Fable 3 they download until 99% after that i get an error telling me that the game can't be download, please help

I'm in US and my region is set to US, but is still can't download Halo 3. Someone please help.

 

Is this the only game you've had issues downloading? Does your account region match your physical location?

 

Yes. Note that it is only one of 4 attempted downloaded games, and everything else worked.

And I cannot seem to locate the "change region" button but I'm pretty sure it's the correct region.

 

Are you getting any type of error code when the download stops? Have you tried downloading the demo of the game and then heading to Settings>Accounts>Download History to download the full game afterward?

 

No. Just "Can't download Halo 3". If you hit the guide button right then it will bring you to a screen with all the details you view right before buying it and gives you the options to continue and cancel. Continuing adds it right back into "pending" and
it just repeats the error.

Halo 3 doesn't have a demo, and yeah, I have tried the download history.

 

OK when you mean it matches are you in a us military base ?

FYI change region is under account management

We also mean your country not continent

Foreign us bases use foreign isps that's why they fail

If you are in your region then try deleting the file and clearing system cache

And hardreboot your modem and router for 5mins

 

FYI halo 3 was free in October under games for gold and no you can't order that version since its expired lol

 

No, I am not in the army (and for the smart-aleks, I am not in the ARMED SERVICES).

I tried the system cache thing, and I don't use a modem and a router, I use a USB modem and a laptop.

I'd say that was the problem, but the setup works fine for online gaming and most downloads (although I am a little annoyed I am unable to join any xbox live party, regardless of their NAT).

And yeah, I knew H3 was free, but I missed that time frame by 3 months when I figured out how to get my laptop to give off wifi.

 

Well. I decided to try to change my account region, because I don't know which region it is in exactly. Maybe I was in a hurry and I picked the wrong one or something.

I don't see a button anywhere to view your account region and when I tried to migrate it to the US (where it should already be) it gave me an error. I don't think I have any of the things that prevent moving account regions, so I must already be in the US,
I guess.

 

Here is a question what type of USB modem and from the sounds of it reset your ICS

Is it an older PC?

What USB version 1-2?

Nat affects download and ICS is not ideal for big downloads as lag and latency is an issue

You might be having the same problem I am experiencing. I purchased some DLC recently for Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2, and out of three DLC purchases, I could only download one of them; the other two would notify me, saying "Can't download xxx".

I researched this immediately and found the following:

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

Specifically, "Purchase and Content Usage Limited for Xbox 360, Affected Services: Downloading items that you have already purchased"

I suggest to wait until this issue it fixed, as that is what I will be doing. Once it's done being fixed, if you still have a problem downloading Halo 3, you should contact Xbox Support again.

 

Verizon USB 760. It isn't that old a pc, it was a christmas gift from 2 years ago, so it is 1 and a half years old. I'm not sure about the USB version. How would I go about this ICS thing? I haven't heard of it before.

And yeah, I see the service thing, but I've been having this problem since last may.
