    Can't Download Game


    Hi, I recently received some Xbox gift cards that I successfully redeemed. So I wanted to spend them on a couple classic games I've been wanting. I tried to download Assassin's Creed, the purchase went through and the downloaded started. It sat for a second
    or two no progress at all and immediately came up and said can't download game. The game does not show up on recent download and my account has been charged the amount of the purchase.

    What error code or message are you receiving? Can't download game, no Code

    What region is your account? US

    What region do you physically live in? US

    This is with my PC and Xbox running on my Verizon jet pack, therefore there is no modem no ports to open im stuck with a strict connection. Trust me it is better than this crap DSL iv got here as well. My computer was not on it during the download attempt.
    Any help please?

    Also note I tried to download again, after a system restart and the same thing happens.

    Also, after deleting the content and before clearing the system cache, you might want to clear the marketplace cache under System Items (marketplace data and rights database).

    Try simplifying the setup if possible and wire into the modem (not really applicable if using a wireless modem/gateway).

    Can't Download game?!

    I bought Soul Caliber 4 off the marketplace and i've been letting it download for about an hour or so.. 4.28GB is a fair ammount but it should've budged atleast abit to maybe 2% already. The download cancelled itself once or something like that once already
    (I left it downloading, turned off my TV and went to get something to eat then came back and it wasnt on the active downloads) I restart the download and 20 minutes later it says "Can't Download Soul Caliber 4" WHY CANT IT DOWNLOAD?!

    Well that would be your problem right there

    You actually do need a DSL or cable modem

    The problem with wireless hotspots is they don't have consistent connections especially for large downloads

    You can call Verizon and try get some help with adjusting your modem settings but generally it'd fruitless based on inconsistent signals

    It is possible but you have to work with verizon to fix it was its more something they may be able to solve since it would be custom to their network

    Strict Nat usually means inconsistent signal on a wireless hotspot device

    You would have better results on DSL

    Its not just the speed its the rise and fall of the speeds that's the issue

    thanks for the replies. I started download with my dsl connection. going to take forever but atleast it works. Good to know that the hotstop won't work for downloads ill keep that in mind.

    Hey Michael, although you're missing most of your sentence I'll see if I can help:

    First of all, make sure there is enough space on your hard drive to download the game in question and that your internet is running and connected to your xbox.

    Secondly, make sure you have the games purchased or accessible. A good way to check is to look into your account billing history.

    Thirdly, if the others are not the issue, try power cycling your xbox by holding the power button down until it turns off.

    Fourth, if that doesn't help anything either you can try removing your account and redownloading it.

    Fifth if none of these options help, you could try calling Xbox support and getting a professional opinion.

    I'm a little confused. I know you said your account was "hacked" but is it the same account you're using now and the same account that purchased the games? If it's the same account then you can redownload it from your download history -
