cant download game updates

I bought forza 3 tried to download an update for it and the update did not finish downloading. I cleared cache on my harddrive and I put the disk in but the update did not finish downloading. I put I other games and the updates for those games would not
finish either. PLEASE HELP!

Things I have tried:

• on a different console
• tested xbl connection
• cleared cache

CANT DOWNLOAD GAME UPDATE!

A couple solutions that may help:

1 Switch off the Xbox 360 and disconnect and reconnect all cables

2 Remove the HDD and reattach it

Can you please access your storage device via the following steps.

1. Press the guide button on your controller.
2. Scroll to the 'settings' tab and select 'system settings'.
3. Select 'storage' and then select your storage device.
4. In here, please select 'games and apps'.

Once you are in here, can you please take a look for 'Forza 3' and select it. In here, can you please look for a file called 'title update' and delete it. It wouldn't hurt to clear your cache again one more time after you have done that. Once this is complete,
please restart your console and try to play Forza 3 again and let us know if the title update completes.



If it does, then please do this for any other titles that you are having the same issues with. If it fails, please let us know what error message (if any) you are receiving when the update fails.

I did not have the title update because I just bought the game. So when I popped in the disk the update started and it did not finish and it signed me back in and continued the game without the update.

I then cleared the cache and it deleted updates for a lot of games like left 4 dead. I tried to download the updates for those other games and they didn't finish either and still continued the games without the update and now I cant play the dlcs for left
4 dead because I need the update for the dlcs to work.

I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX and was troubleshooting with a representative for an hour and we could not fix the problem. I then went to a friend's house and he put in a lego batman game he bought used and he cannot download the update either and he kept getting
the same error message I got so im starting to think its a problem with the recent update xbox live got since it didn't only happen to me.

The error code is 4174-0000-D080-0200-807B-01F7

This only happens with games that have small updates like for example 3mb.

With games like call of duty that have big updates like 80mb it downloads correctly.

Thank you for helping and please report this because if it is a glitch from the newest xbox live update then it needs to be fixed.

So just to confirm, you are capable of downloading large update files but smaller files seem to stop and not complete. Can you please let us know the following information.

• What size Hard Drive do you have (and is it an official one)?
• Have you tried downloading the updates on a wired and wireless internet connection?
  
• Are the games that are effected by this, installed on your Hard Drive?

I have a 320gb and a 120gb. Theyre unofficial but I tried to update it without my harddrive since i have 2.5gb left in my internal memory and still doesnt finish the updates. I did try with a wired and wireless connection and the issue keeps happening. This
happens to uninstalled games and to games that I downloaded from the Xbox live market like halo 3.

Its probably a glitch from the latest xbox live update from last week. And the worst part is that without those updates I cant play dlc for games I have.

I'm having a similar problem with destiny, i cant download a 2mb update. I've been searching the forms for about 3 hours now and nothing has worked. my error code is 417f-0000-d080-0200-8007-0570 if this helps.
