    Can't download game acquired with GWG


    Hi,

    I acquired "The Witcher 2" through the "Games with Gold" program last year on my Xbox 360. Recently, I got a Xbox One and since The Witcher 2 is retro-compatible, I tried to download it on my new console, but I couldn't find it on My Games List. All newer
    games that I got with GWG appears as usual, but not The Witcher 2. I still can play it on my Xbox 360...

    Can't launch game acquired through 'Games with Gold'

    The 2 games are Child of Light and The Escapists, it says " Make sure your subscription is active. Looks like you need to renew a membership such as EA Access or Xbox Live Gold, I have gold and EA has nothing to do with either game whatsoever so EA Access
    shouldn't really be considered a possible issue as to why i can't play the games.... help please Can't download game acquired with GWG :p

    Note: I've tried reinstalling multiple times it still doesn't work.

    Problem downloading Mafia II (Games with Gold)

    I see. I guess I would have to download them when I'm back in the UK then.

    I'm having more problems with the latest GWG game though (Dungeon Siege III). For the prior games I was able to add them to my download queue even if it's not possible to complete the download, but for Dungeon Siege III I can't even add it to my download
    queue, and I won't be able to download the game even when I'm back in the UK (as it would no longer be free via GWG). Is there anything I can do about this?

    It seems like I acquired the game using a different Country, that was the problem Can't download game acquired with GWG :)

    It is now fixed, sorry for the post.

    Sorry to hear it. The game is, indeed, on the backwards compatibility list. Can you please try heading to my games and apps then ready to install to see if the game is listed there?

    If it is not then perhaps you got the game on a different account.

    A child's account cannot acquire the Xbox 360 games from an Xbox one or xbox.com. If you have an Xbox 360, you should be able to download the games on there. If you want to download the Xbox 360 GWG on xbox one or xbox.com you will have to make your son
    an adult account. Sorry that's just the way it is until Microsoft changes it.

    If you haven't downloaded the game before, in GwG. So maybe you will be able to download the game sometimes. Maybe in GwG this game will be.

    If you have a GwG game, you only have to have a gold membership. To play GwG games.

    Didn't realise you can get xbox one games now on xbox360 for future

    You're not actually saving them, you're just acquiring the license to download/play them when you get a Xbox One.

    I should also mention, that if your Gold subscription ever lapses, you won't have access to these games anymore. (This is a different version of the GwG policy than on the 360.)
