Can’t download free Xbox 360 game with gold

would anyone be able to fill me in with knowledge? So I have an Xbox One and Xbox live and have been having issues downloading free 360 games. I have my card on file with my account for downloading but every time I try and download it basically says “sorry
try again” Could this be cause I’m not within the United States? Thanks in advance.

Xbox 360 games with gold issue

I have a gold account and can’t download any Xbox 360 games with gold titles. I get an error that says I can’t make this purchase on Xbox.com and that I have to login to my Xbox 360. The problem is that I don’t have an Xbox 360. Is there no way I can access
the Xbox 360 free games each month?

Xbox live gold isn’t working

Something is wrong with my Xbox Live Gold. I can download Xbox live gold free games but I can’t play online with other players. I tried restarting my Xbox but that doesn’t work what do I do?

over the last day or so Xbox live has been hiving service alerts and this could be the reason why you had trouble

Free Trials will not let you purchase the 360 Games with Gold. You will only be able to get the Xbox One games.

This is clarified on the support page.

For Xbox 360 console customers only:

You can’t redeem backward-compatible Games with Gold with this type of Xbox Live Gold trial.

Hi, to add to previous comments- Xbox Live Gold comes with a feature called “Games with Gold” that allows you to claim two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games each month. The Xbox One games through this program are free for you to play while your Gold
subscription remains active; the Xbox 360 games are yours to keep for free forever even if your subscription expires. Games with Gold can be obtained with a subscription to Xbox Live Gold, but can’t be obtained with a prepaid code trial membership for 2-14
days.

Well, if you get the Xbox 360 games, they are forever free to own to download later, even without Gold, but Xbox One, those will not be free if Gold expires.

Or, more importantly, are you still a Gold subscriber? Xbox 360 games are free for life once downloaded on that console, but Xbox One games are only free for the length of your Gold subscription.
