    same problem, Xbox support couldn't help me as usual! They said maybe wait for an update! What about the 360 games that come and go that I will never be able to get for free again!

    Well I have working payment option on my account, I am buying games on xbox store without problem, I came onto this problem only on free games for xbox 360 with backward compatibility recently.

    To claim a 360 game part of backward compatibility for xbox one, you need a valid method of payment linked to your account. Even if the game is free with gold a purchase of 0,00$ will be registered under your account.
