cant download free game with gold D4

Yes, D4 is fixed, but the issue is not...the problem still exists on the website for MX vs ATV for the 360.

This issue is getting lost now that they have fixed D4. My fear is, we will continue to see this trend in the coming months. The issue is still occurring with MX vs. ATV for the 360. I get pat non-answers from support, as in; "This is how Games with Gold
works." Which is clearly not the case, otherwise, why "repair" it on other games?

I get different answers from different support personnel. So far only one, and her manager have bothered to go outside the script, and actually delve in to the problem. I was actually told by "support" that this is for verification purposes, because of "rampant
fraud" on the marketplace! Come on, you have multiple verification stages in place already, to ensure our safety. The point of fact is, adding a credit card to a system that is rife with fraud, would only damage your consumers further, and has never been part
of the GwG Program.

If LIVE is trending this way, you will alienate a large section of your consumer base.

And who is going to add credit for all of the kids that play on LIVE? Part of the protection advantage would be to leave credit cards off these accounts. Otherwise, you are just the same as Google Play and the App Store, allowing parents to get taken for
hundreds and thousands of dollars. (in-app purchases, anyone?)

I request that someone look in to what changed in the marketplace, and correct it for those of us that take advantage of the GwG program.

Still awaiting a response...This is now the 11th day I have tried to download the GwG 360 game for the month. (plus the two days I tried to get SSX from last month...)

Is there any good reason you corrected the issue with D4, and not the other titles involved?

 

Didn't have this problem with D4.. But now I have this problem with [tag:IDARB]. Please Help

 

As someone who does not have access to a credit card this is very frustrating.

 

This is an old thread and was answered awhile ago

For any 360 games with gold you must have a valid payment option on file as it is part of the requirements of the 360 marketplace

The only other option is to download it direct from a 360 console either by owning one or borrowing or renting one

Xbox 360 is a perk but still has its own requirements one of them being a valid payment option

And yes one doesn't but remember completely different marketplaces and different requirements

 

Same problem here after 5 years of gold. Just recently got a One about a week ago. Downloaded a game with no problem, the next day I tried another game and "card info required".

Went back to the 360 and had the same issue on the first attempt, but a second attempt made it through. It reminds me of something related to recovering your gamertag, but fails to download. Then you have to spam the heck out of it to get it to work.

 

Ok, now it wants to charge me a full $10 for the 3rd GwG this month. Still having issues here and I'm going to expire in about a week. Until Msoft goes back to school to learn basic math, it looks like it's gonna stay that way.

 

Lol it's been a year and you guys haven't done **** with the problem to fix it...That's the problem with Microsoft. They give out generalised replies, then spew out more games, instead of fixing current existing problems, just so they can make money. Millions
of dollars in the pockets and you guys can't fix one issue because still worried about money...lol

With regards to requiring a payment method for "Free Games with Gold", it is most likely in place to ensure those downloading the games are real people. This ensures people don't take advantage of the system. Microsoft is generously giving out four free
games a month and have every right to protect themselves from those who want to take advantage of them.
