"Can't download Expansion 1" - Destiny Legendary Edition

I recently purchased the "Legendary Edition" of Destiny from the Xbox 360 store.

Everything included in the bundle downloaded smoothly EXCEPT expansion 1 (Dark Below). Every time I try to download it, the progress bar flickers back and forth from 0% to 1% before aborting altogether. Xbox then displays the message: "Can't download Expansion
1"

I've tried clearing the cache and re-downloading the entire bundle, only to get the same result over and over.

This problem has gone on for about 2 days now. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible.

[Destiny: The taken king - Legendary Edition] Cannot download EXPANSION I

I've successfully downloaded Legendary Edition for Destiny. Then I'm launching it and adding all downloads.

My XBOX360 downloaded successfully the next content:

The Taken King

Destiny

Destiny Expansion Pass

Expansion II

And then XBOX360 tries to download Expansion I, shows 1%complete for some seconds, then 100% and then shows an error "Can't download Expansion I"

After this I can't play Destiny and any other Legendary Edition content.

How can I fix this problem?

doesnt destiny the taken king come with: destiny, expansion 1 and 2 and the taken king for 60$?

Hey there, AlienXGamer360! Are you able to launch up the game without downloading that Expansion specifically? We checked here and we are able to download everything (which we did first) and then downloaded the Expansion I without issue. If you can't launch
the game, I suggest removing everything Destiny related, downloading everything else first from your Download History, and then downloading the Expansion I pack.

Let us know how that works for you.

 

Hello Quinzel, I am able to launch and play the game without any issues. Unfortunately, Expansion 1 still fails to download on every attempt.

Thanks for the update, Alien! That is very odd. Are you able to access any content related to Expansion I? There should be an in-game menu option that lets you see which versions of the game you have. If you go there, do you see any issues with Expansion
I being listed?

Additionally, is your region on your console and account the same as your physical region? This could also affect your ability to download games.

 

I also wanted to ask how you're connected. Is it wired or wireless? If wireless please try connecting via ethernet cable for the duration of the download to see if that helps.

 

I am having the same issue with The Taken add on. I have tried everything as above with no difference. It does not matter if I am WiFi or hardline it does the same thing. I can play the game but it seems like I am missing some stuff compared to other players
with the same version as I.

 

Hello Quinzel, I've checked all the menus while in-game, however, there are none that allow me to view currently installed DLC. So there's no way to confirm if it's there or not.

I've tried to download the expansion using both wired and wireless connections: both methods failed.

I've also double-checked and confirmed that my console region settings match my account region.

Also confirmed that Expansion 1 does not appear on my actual HD, despite the fact that it does appear in both my purchase and download history.

 

UPDATE!

It seems to be fixed!

I just received an in-game mission for "The Dark Below, Fist of Crota", which is the expansion I couldn't download.

I have no idea why it doesn't appear on my HD, but the game seems to recognize that I own it and I'm able to play it. Yet, my Xbox continues to tell me that it "Can't download Expansion 1"

To the above poster: your console might be lying to you!. Check to see if you can access any of the content included in the DLC pack.

I can't download Expansion 1 either. This isn't fun at all.

 

Same here can't download expansion 1 everything in the legendary edition downloads except expansion 1 on my Xbox 360 if anyone has found a fix please let me know I am downloading the compatibility packs for destiny as I type this message any information

I to have done all things requested an suggested with zero luck. I can't download the expansion nor can I play the game itself. Any help or a patch would be appreciated. If this can't be fixed, where can we go to an request a refund?

 

This is an old thread, but we are having trouble downloading Expansion I. We have removed everything Destiny related, flushed the cache, shut down the counsel, unplugged it for 10 minutes, and then tried to install as per the instructions given by Misses
Quinzel (from download history), but Expansion pack I is still not installing.

We just purchased the Collectors Edition today online from the Xbox site, and would appreciate what we paid for.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

help!!!! when i turn on destiny everything goes find until it says loading contact it goes to 29% then it says game is unreadable.
