    Can't download digital games. Installation stops.


    Bought a few games from the store yesterday… Grand Theft Auto V and Costume Quest. Neither will download more than a few percent before giving then an error message saying download has stopped. All my network issues are fine. Kinda making me mad I bought
    70 dollars worth of games and can't even download them even 24 hours later.

    Can you try power cycling your console?

    support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

    All turn your router off, leave it off for a minute or so, then turn it back on.

    Then power up the console and try to download the games again.

    Let us know how you get on.

    Wifi connection, and installed a new router recently..so defs think is either the new router or the ISP, as when I use my phone as a hotspot, downloads resume. Thanks for the pointer!

    Hi!

    As suggested, try to connect the console with an ethernet cable. Then try to clear the alternate MAC address from the console: Settings->Network->Network Settings->Advanced Settings->Alternate MAC Address->Clear->Restart.

    Also, try to set a
    static IP     to the console so you don't have any conflicts with DHCP or filters on the router.

    Finally check that all ports are open on the router.

    I am connected to the internet, and my Xbox Live services are all running fine. Like I said, I have tried all the options as offered on the Xbox Troubleshooting pages, and still the issue continues.
