Can't Download Dark Souls (South Africa)

I saw dark souls pop up on the games with gold promo and of course immediately went onto the xbox website, logged in, hit games with gold and went through the motions of getting dark souls. To the best of my knowledge my account and my xbox are both
set to South Africa for their regions and I know for a fact that my connection is working fine since I recently purchased and downloaded Dust: An Elysian Tale.

Unfortunately Dark Souls is proving to be more stubborn. I have deleted my system cache and made sure the temporary download files aren't lurking around. Still no joy. I just get the above (Title) error over and over.

Can't download Dark Souls via Games On Demand (Gold DOTW)

I'm having a similar problem except, DARK SOULS is running on Games with Gold and every time I try to download it, it says "Can't download" and it does not even give me a reason why. I live and am regioned to South Africa. I have not tried any troubshoot
yet.

 

Cannot Purchase on American Account, due to Currency and Content is not available in Local Region.

I am attempting to purchase and download Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Unfortunately my Xbox Live Account is an American one, but I now live in South Africa. I cannot use my South African Credit Card to purchase the DLC due to the region issue and
I am further unable to purchase the DLC on my South African Live profile, as the DLC is not available for South Africa... Now what?

 

Hi I am having the exact same issue. I'm also from South Africa , I have read a lot of posts here from other South Africans having the same problem. I'm speculating but the issue seems to be that the game is set for NTSC region and we are PAL region - so
far I haven't seen any clear answers from anybody.

Ive wasted hours of time and bandwidth trying to solve the issue would be nice if someone could give a final answer and advise if its possible to change your region etc in order to download dark souls without losing your other games.

 

basically some games do require you to have a game from your actual region

basically if you state you live in the US account region you will have issues with PAL specific games like darksouls mortal kombat was another if I remember correctlys

because you are trying to download a ntsc game onto a pal console

when making an accoiunt it is always best to buy from your actual region

 

so basically if your console is a PAL console (check on the back of the xbox)

you need a pal regional account

Thank you for providing us with this information. If you are still are having issues downloading Dark Souls, try Clearing Your System Cache 3 times.
If you are still unable to download, please let us know.

 

The Xbox, account, and game must all be from the same region or you will be unable to download the game. If all of this doesn't match, you won't be able to download the game.
