Can't download Cerberus Network

The good thing is it's free. Once you have downloaded it to your Xbox One, you will have to download all the add-ons that are part of the Cerberus network separately in the game.

He doesn't need to access the Cerberus Network in order to play the game or access the DLC that you downloaded from it.

All the Cerberus Network did was enable people to download free content when the game was bought new (Zaeed, Arc Projector etc) and it gave in-game news (which it no longer does).

The only way for your husband to access the Cerberus Network would be to buy him his own 'pass' from the marketplace. This is something he doesn't need to do as he will be able to use the content you downloaded with your account.

Last I recall you had to purchase that DLC from inside the game menu.

Not exactly. Genesis is what the PS3 Mass Effect 2 game came with to compensate the fact that PS3 players could not play ME1, thus could not import some of the story arcs from ME1 into their ME2 game. Genesis doesn't come with ME2. If you've downloaded Genesis,
what it will allow you to do is start a fresh ME2 character with some of the choices from ME1 without having to play ME1 and import them. Ordinarily, if you start a fresh ME2 character, it assumes that you made mostly renegade decisions and your ME2 playthrough
is based on that: you let the Destiny Ascension be destroyed, you killed the Rachni Queen, you killed Wrex on Virmire, etc. Genesis allows a fresh ME2 character to have taken a different path.

Actually, Mass Effect Genesis is on the 360 as well..
