can't download ArcaniA

I have just purchased arcaniA in the DOTW sale. But as the game starts to download I get a message popping up saying can't download aecaniA this is annoying me as I have emptied the cache and have more than enough space on my hard drive. Help will be greatly
appreciated.

Can't Download

I just purchased "ArcaniA" from the XBL marketplace and it won't download. I've tried everything I could. But I keep getting a message saying "Can't Download ArcaniA". Can anyone help me out?

 

Problem with download bought game

I am having the same problem. Can't download ArcaniA and everything matches on mine. It won;t even start downloading, just sits for about a minute and then says can't download. I tried downloading a demo and it worked fine. Just won;t download ArcaniA.

 

Do both your account and console match your real world physical location?

 

Same problem here. Only went off if I went on any game, online or not. Left it downloading on dashboard and seems fine, if not VERY slow (Fibre Broadband)

 

Im having the same problem with this game. It just keeps canceling in mid download. Really annoyed by this.

 

I'm having the same problem. Just purchased Arcania and the DLC pack associated with it, and the download for the main game keeps cancelling with an error of "Can't Download Arcania." If I go into System Settings>Storage>Hard Drive>Games and Apps, I find
a listing for ArcaniA - Gothic 4, but it has a yellow circle with a white exclamation mark. If I delete this listing for the game, which I assume is download cache data, then reboot my Xbox 360, I can successfully restart the download. But the furthest I've
been able to get the download is about 35% before it fails again with the same error.

All other downloads seem to be working fine for me. In fact, I just purchased a texture pack for Minecraft and it downloaded without any problems. This seems to be limited to the main game file for Arcania. Even it's DLC pack seems to be downloading just
fine in between my attempts to get the game itself.

 

STEPS THAT WORKED FOR ME:

1. Go to System Settings>Storage>Hard Drive>Games and Apps, then find the listing for ArcaniA - Gothic 4 and delete the file for the main game. It should be accompanied by a yellow circle with white exclamation mark and listed as "Incomplete."

2. Fully shut down your Xbox 360 and then MANUALLY UNPLUG the console. A simple reboot doesn't seem to do the trick, it needs to be fully deprived of power for several seconds.

3. Plug your Xbox 360 back in and start it up.

4. Go to Account Management>Download History, and find the listing for ArcaniA (Xbox 360 Game). Select and choose to "Download Again." The download should now resume successfully. At least, that's what worked for me after a bunch of trial and error.

5. DO NOT RUN ANY GAMES OR APPS DURING THE DOWNLOAD! For some reason, this file is super sensitive and tends to crash if you try running any games while it downloads. Hope this helps!

 

Ulfgeir's suggestion worked for me as well. Apparently cutting the power was the missing step, since I tried all the rest with no luck. Thanks!

 

I realy tried all what was wrote on forums. Also I contact xbox support, we tried all from complet cleaning cash, delete all yellow exlamations error files from hdd. unplug physical hdd (prevent cleaning of dust), control of network (prevent of NAT error),
all was not usefull. Seems that this problem is only about the "ArcaniA" game. All other bought games is possible download without problem include addon of ArcaniA game. Just when i start download ArcaniA, show 0% of downloading process, abou 5 sec nothing,
then quick 100% download and low of scree xbox says "I cant download ArcaniA".

 

Got the same problem. tried everything....but nothing works.

I had the exact same problem today, however I did what Ulfgeir mentioned and it worked for me. I deleted the incomplete file and shut down my console; unplugged it for about 2-3 minutes or so, when I plugged it back in and re-downloaded it, and started to
download right away. I've had no problems with other downloads in the past, only this game...
