Can't download 360 games

There is an incredibly annoying issue with the way the backward compatible game purchasing is set up, and I would love it if someone could help me out;

I have been unable to purchase any xbox 360 games on my xbox one console, because my account is designated as a "teen," now why is that? The games included mirror's edge, borderlands, and super meat boy (the latter two of which were/are free games with gold)
and it's ridiculous that I can't purchase them. When I try to buy them I get a message that basically says that I'm not allowed to make that sort of purchase from xbox.com (even though I'm on my console) and I really don't know what to do! I've heard that
it may be an issue left over from the 360, is there any credibility to that? And if so, how do I deal with this? Is there an easy work around, or do I have to promote my account to adult (my parents are okay with that)? I don't really know what to do, and
if someone could help me out, or even contact the team at Microsoft, that would be absolutely fantastic!

Can't download xbox 360 games

you'll have to add your credit card details or PayPal info.

If you still have a 360 console you can download them from their without entering any of this info.

Hi I'm a xbox gold subscriber and have been on both the 360 and currently Xbox one I use the pre-paid xbox gold subscription and i can't download the free xbox 360 gold games it keeps saying please enter a valid payment option i have attached a screen shot
of the screen i get is there any way i can download these? Thanks

 

The 360 store is set up differently than the store on the One and xbox.com. Because of parental settings, child accounts can only make 360 purchases on the 360 console in order for the system to recognize the correct settings. At this time, there is no other
way around that.
