Can't designate my new xbox as home xbox

I'm currently without a steady reliable internet connection, and I want to play games offline, but I can't do so because I can't designate my new xbox as my home xbox. Every time I try to check the box, the check mark disappears as soon as I mark it. I no longer have my old xbox, I've already removed it from my devices in my account. Thanks for any help.

I’m afraid that will not be possible, if we can connect to a mobile hotspot that will do.

Seems kinda backwards to require the xbox to be connected to xbox live just to adjust a setting that pertains to playing your xbox without xbox live.

Is there no way for me to access my xbox live settings on a mobile browser? Through my Microsoft account page?

Hi Flyinghellshark, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Please perform a power cycle on your console and make sure that you're connected to an Internet Connection before designating your account again as Home Xbox.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Can I remove my account without having to use my xbox? Currently I have to be away from it to use a steady internet connection.
