    Can't designate home Xbox


    I have been game sharing with my friend for months now. I recently upgraded to a Xbox Series S and now I cant designate my home xbox. I click on my Home Xbox and it loads for ages and when it finally gives me the option to tick the box it doesnt work. Ive reset the console factory reset my old one, logged out and nothing works. Please help

    This is a outage Microsoft is having right now. Other users are having the same issue today. They're trying to set Xbox as the Home Xbox and it's not working. They tried to remove and add the account again, tried to add another account to the console and even tried to factory reset Xbox and still nothing. After checking the box, it will just load and then get unchecked again, same issue as you:

    Microsoft is aware of it and will probably fix it soon. Pleae wait a few hours and it should be solved.

    There is a major outage right now that Microsoft is aware of. The status page is not updated, so you won't find updates there.

    Right, once the B console will be the Home Xbox, the A one will no longer be designated as Home Xbox, so one console at a time can be designate as the Home Xbox.
