    Can't delete or leave group message on XBOX


    I have a group message on my XBOX that I tried to leave/delete, I can empty the contents but when I try to leave it won't allow me too.

    I've logged in online & the message isn't showing, but on my xbox or using the xbox app on my mobile the conversation is still showing & when I try to leave it says "something went wrong, unable to delete message"

    How do I resolve this ?!

    Sorry to hear it. If the message is not showing on the pc then perhaps it was already deleted and your messages are just glitched. Try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down to see if that helps.

    If it does not then please try deleting then redownloading your gamertag

    Can't leave a group chat.

    So real quick to put an end to this, I added the person to the chat to originally started it and was able to leave. Don't know why i didn't try this earlier but that's that i guess.

    We understand that you are trying to add your son into your family group and was unable to because he is already part of one. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    Since, you have already performed the steps provided on how to leave a family a member should do. To better isolate the issue, we will be asking few questions:

    1. May we ask for the screenshot of the error message? Please conceal any personal information.
    2. May we ask if your son is signed in here- Microsoft Family Safety, do you somehow recognize the Organizer of the family he was added to?

      (If you were unable to locate the Organizer, please scroll down and look for Find your family and scan the QR Code using your mobile phones.)
    3. Just to confirm, does your son have issues with signing into the account, purchase, screen time limit and play certain games?

    Have you tried from the mobile app or the console companion app on windows? Do you get the same result?
