Can't customize avatar

I click on games button above To edit your avatar, start the Games app. On the https://live.xbox.com/en-CA/AvatarEditor page but am unable to locate the section that allows me to edit or customize my avatar. I must be blind
or it's not in settings. It obviously doesn't redirect you to the spot where that setting is it just opens the app. Where do I find it? And would not having Silverlight installed be the reason I'm having this issue?

Cannot edit avatar from Games metro app in windows 8

Yep. You can't customize your avatar from the Games app in Windows 8.1. And it's pissing me off. Seriously, MS. Fix this.

Redeemed Code for Master Chief Avatar Armor. Now how do I find it??

Purchased Halo CE Anniversary from Amazon. Redeemed code (correctly) for the avatar armor, but can't find it. It's not in Customize Avatar>Awards and it's not in Avatar Marketplace>Halo Anniversary. Can someone point me in the right direction? Please? TIA

if you're running windows 10, there is an Xbox avatars app in the microsoft app store now, since the "games" app has changed to the "xbox" app which no longer has avatar editing support native. Good luck though, a few people I've seen online, myself included,
are having issues editing our avatars anywhere, be it on the PC, the xbox system, anywhere.

Hey, to anyone who still can't get their rewards back, try customizing you avatar on xbox.com. I tried that and I found all of my avatar awards on there. Then, when you next sign onto your xbox, it should update your avatar.

I still encounter people with avatars but they mostly tend to be kids who can't have/don't know how to get custom pics. SpiralOut46and2 is
right though, custom pics killed avatars.
