    Can't create new profile on hand-me-down 360S, can't sign in a profile to save any ...


    We were given an xbox 360S from a friend who got a new one. Bottom line is we can't save our progress on games we play because we can't sign in to any profile or create one. We can't create or download new profiles or save games to existing profiles already
    on console. We've tried deleting them, clearing cache, formatting etc. Tried connecting to xbox live, but after it connects to our wifi it fails to connect to xbox live. It also doesn't seem to update system after we've selected to do so, because when we
    turn on the console or reboot it, it still prompts us to update system.

    Can't believe xbox live is down because of a bunch of 12 year olds I can't even sign in to any of my profiles so can't even play offline if I want to save progress.

    OMG, this made it WORSE!

    Now I can't even access my saved games!

    The I deleted the profile and re-downloaded with my email and login, but instead of my old gamertag, it was the NEW gamertag that I created! All my saves were associated with my OLD gamertag. When I try to move my saves to the new profile, it says "this
    item can't be transferred between profiles". Are you serious???? At least before, I could play offline, now all my saves are gone!

    Can't you just merge my old profile with my new one? Please help!

    No you cant.Your saves are linked to the profile that created them & can't be moved between profiles.
