Cant create child account

I'm trying to create a child account for my son. After I verify the parental information, the process hangs. In Chrome I get an error that the webpage has a redirect loop, in IE it just hangs. If I try to create the account on the console, it tells me
to create the account at xbox.com. Is this because of the lizard squad thing?

Don't know - found this out with our sons account when trying to add it to xb1 ( I have a thread on this which will be near this one now) and awaiting call back from xblive to see if it can be resolved.

Happened when we had to do something to get his account online for gold and had to use another email address to set up an account to migrate or something or other. I know my hubby was on the phone with them for well over an hour that time to get it sorted - he is cursing about it as he can't believe how complex their systems are - and he used to work for MS and is now a freelance consultant architect/developer/admin for blue chips so is very experienced with computer systems

I too want to know about this please. I set up one for the mrs (for the fitness game) under my account but had to get her a new email and all the other details etc. Now I need it for the 2 kids so they can have their own identities and dont use my gamertag etc. They love forza etc but i dont want them on my gamertag for this. It was easy to do on the 360 but I really cant be arsed going through setting them up email addresses etc for the one. Surely Is there a simple way for getting them their own avatars etc ? Hope this makes sense and someone can help

Create a parent account which contain your CC info / then create a child or family account which cant access your CC info to purchase.

Hi Nicole,

The only way is to create a new account as a child account. The birthday on Xbox.com is the one that cant be changed once it is set. So the adult account will stay an adult account. If you make a child account and the games are on his adult account. Set
the adult account as home, put a passkey on it so he cant log on it. Then the child account can use the gold and the games.

creating a child account. This usually is a $1.00 charge that is returned to the card.
