Can't copy saved games to Xbox One without a Xbox Live Gold account

Just want to note how seriously lame it is that I can't copy my 360 saves to my brand new $500 Xbox One X. The 14 trial included with the console only lets you play online, with no access to cloud saves. Come on, Microsoft, this is stupid! I'm tempted
to return the console and go with Sony instead.

1 Gold Account for the whole family

Bit of good news,
I have just been reading the new Xbox Mag that quote:
'One Xbox Live Gold Account for the whole house, so no need for upgrading the whole family

Nice touch and will save some family's money for all the kids to be able to go Multiplayer

Netflix and Amazon Prime, one account 2 xbox. Help

Hi all

I have two xbox one and want to be able to watch Netflix or amazon prim on one xbox and play games on the other at the same time, the problem is I can not run the apps without a xbox live account and I can not sign in as I am already signed in on the one I play games.

why can I not sign into the apps without a xbox live account as this is annoying and I just can not get this to work

You could do it the old fashion way and transfer your saves to a USB stick from your 360 then plug that USB into the Xbox one and copy them all to the HDD

That won't work. The cloud is the only way to transfer 360 saves to the One.

Hi!

All your cloud saved games (and saved progress) will remain linked to your account even if you don't have an active xbox live gold subscription. If you redeemed some of the Xbox One "games with gold" you can't play them without the gold subscription but
you will be able to play them if you will re-activate your gold subscription in the future.

You will havetp purchase full gold and save your games online

And no local saves wont move to cloud you have to resave the games

So there's no way to get my 360 saves over to my Xbox One without purchasing the Live Gold? Even if I choose to save them in the cloud it still won't happen without a real Live Gold membership? And I can't enable the cloud on the 360 without a real Live Gold
membership? Is all this correct?

Hi there,

if you are talking about a Xbox One then using the same account on the second console as you do on the first console should result in the same games being downloaded from Xbox Live (as long as the console is connected to Xbox Live)

If you are on a Xbox 360, then besides using the same account on both, you will also need to copy/move the save games to a USB device to use it on both consoles or Move the save games to the Cloud (this will require a Gold subscription)
