    Can't control my xbox - help!


    Hi all, thanks in advance.

    as of this morning I can't control my xbox using either of my controllers or the xbox app. I have tried all the reconnect functions and tried using my plug and play USB cable - nothing. Controller thinks it's connected but I have no battery reading in the
    corner. Kinect works fine, but that's no use for games!

    Any ideas out there?

    Can I sync my Philips sound bar to my Xbox One remote?

    I have a HTL2101a sound bar connected to my Xbox one with the optic setting. I can't figure out how to control the volume with my new Xbox remote control. I went through the setup on the XBox settings, and thought I had completed set up (I even selected

    Can't control my xbox - help!

    Hey there Tom! The first thing I would recommend doing is try a hard reset/power cycle of your console.

    1) Turn off you Xbox One.

    2) Unplug the power cord from the wall, or unplug the cord from the power brick.

    3) Wait 20~30 seconds.

    4) Plug everything back in and turn on the console by pressing the power contact on the front of your Xbox One.

    Try that out! Sometimes minor software errors can be cleared up that way.

    Perform a soft reset. Hold power button for 5-10 seconds until unit shuts off. Unplug power cord. Wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Press power button on front of console to turn on. Wait for longer boot time while the unit resets. Good Luck!!

    Controller bricked after firmware update

    It just happened to my Xbox One controller!

    The Xbox Accessories app is a lot newer and it can't detect it since it got in DFU mode!

    Serious Opinions - new xbox controller feelings

    I can't help but notice (and even compare) the squishyness of the Xbox One controller compared the 360's. Keep thinking that one of these days the XO's controller is going to fall apart in my hand.

    Have you checked if your controller is up to date? That is the only additional thing I can think of. Looking through xbox support I can't find much matching your description. I had a similar issue with connecting to my laptop via bluetooth but I can't imagine
    that would help in this case.
