Can't continue saved games after connecting to xbox live

When you say your new gamer tag did the system give you a new gamertag?

Or are you using the same gamertag that was on your offline profile?

If you did everything correct then it should have just turned your Offline profile with the same gamertag into an online profile and kept the same gamertag that you had as an offline profile.

Let us know a little more information.

It just shows the new online one with my avatar, achievements, etc from the offline one.

When you go into the social tab and it shows the profiles on the console does it just show the one profile (new online one) or does it show multiple profiles the new one and the old one on there?

I don't think that my offline profile had a gamertag? I just had my nickname ('Van' ), and when I clicked the 'connect to xbox live' option and signed up to that it changed my nickname to my new gamertag.

If I go into settings - storage - local storage/hard drive my saves have my new gamertag as the associated profile. But when I start the game it doesn't give me the option to continue, only start a new game.

I have bought an xbox live gold subscription to see if copying the saves to the cloud and switching the games default to cloud storage, but it still won't give me the option to continue.

Please let me know what other information I can give to help troubleshoot this

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with loading up you're game saves? Are you having issues with this on local storage or is it through Cloud saved games? You may want to go into your
"Settings" under "System" then "Storage" and you can enable cloud saved games. Once you've done that you can start up a game save to the cloud instead of to the hard drive.
