Can't continue an interrupted download

So, I don't know if this problem stretches outside of the Games With Gold offers, we all know how they're always a special case of troubles.

But I've had this with Tomb Raider. I've had this with another game a few months ago and I'm having it with Bioshock.

I'll start the download just fine. I'll finish it just fine. I can even turn off and turn on my Xbox while doing it.

Can I do anything in between the start and the end? Nope.

If I try and play a game. If I try to go offline. If, as just happened a little less than an hour ago, the power goes out for literally six seconds, then it will not download. It'll say "Can't Download ___" and just screw
me. I can't restart the download and pick up where I left off. I have to walk the entire hall of shame and manually delete the whole thing and then restart the download from 0%.

What even is this and how do I fix it?

I continue to constantly every bingo game to be interrupted lost internet signal -- try again, over and over.

I was redeeming a code to get the maps, skin, gear, and specializations given to players who pre-ordered the limited edition of halo 4. That's the only one that isn't in my download history.

 

Does your account region match your actual region? Not including us foreign bbases or non continential us territories

Also are you in an xbox live region

Also whats your speedtest.net result and your internet connection type

If continuing a download fails immediately its probably cause its corrupt

You would need to delete the download then redownload it

But if your account region doesnt match your actual region nothing can help except matching it

 

Usually the cases of trouble with games for gold is connection issues like non broadband or too slow connection or the 99% of thw problems mismatched regions

 

Also you may want to try hardreseting your modem andnroutrr for 5mins

 

People also ignore the downloadnsticky and dont post the nessary information to help themselfs

They just say i have this problem too and without listing the important information about their settings

 

This thread may be ancient but the responses are still as unhelpful as ever.

How about, instead of shoveling unhelpfulness in my face, you tell me why something that worked perfectly fine for almost 3 years straight just decided to stop working?

 

If it's at all helpful, I'm pretty sure I've figured out what the direct source of the problem is;

Whenever I turn my router off and on again. Even for the shortest time. Even if the Xbox is off. Even the wire's connected and not wifi... Just like that.
