cant connect

hi ok my problem is that when i go to test my net connection on my xbox 360 it says ip address error but before i could connect now i cant

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

why cant i connect hw=ow long till i cant connect to my live

 

What troubleshooting steps have you tried. Try turning off the xbox first of all and the unplugging the power from your modem/router for 30 seconds atleast, 1 minute to be on the safe side. Then plug the power back into the mode and router and then into
the xbox. Start the xbox and try to connect.

If doesn't work post here.

 

i did it and says the same i even contacted my provider and they said the modem was fine it connect to every think in my house but wont connect to my xbox

 

i even used my phone 's hotspot to see if it was my modem and it did the same i dont know what to do

 

Can u clearly tell whats the error?

Appreciate if you could post up the make and model of your router, and your modem as well (if this is not a single device).

Are you connected wired, or wireless with your console? If wireless, state whether you use the black, white, external wireless network adapter or the built-in (Xbox 360 S/E).

N150 Wireless ADSL 2 + Modem Router NETGEAR DNG1000 i tryed to connect with the wire and wireless both dident work my xbox is black and the wireless is built in the xbox

Have u tried to manually put ur ip address in the xbox
