Cant connect xbox with sound from tv

    Xbox 360 Wired Headset

    I've got a problem. I have the wired xbox headset. But when in connect the headset with my controller, there is no sound from headset. I mean, the sound comes from TV, not from headset. Can anyone help me? And no, is not from the volume.

    No Xbox One audio through Sony Surround receiver only get Sky Tv audio?But i can through the tv.

    You would actually want your hd box connected to your xbox one then your xbox one to your surround sound and then the surround sound to the tv. this way, your tv will display the picture but your surround sound will intercept the audio. the surround sound
    works as and audio/video in AND out device. Your sky tv wouldn't connect to the xbox at all as far as I know, that would have to be plugged in directly to the sony surround sound and you would change the input on the surround sound rather than the tv.

    yep tv has 2 scart connectors correct,there is an hdmi cable from virgin box connected to tv,1 scart from virgin connected to surround sound system,the other scart from virgin box also connected to the tv.there is only 1 hdmi lead that connects the xbox
    to the tv...hope this helps you zac...thanks.

    HDMI Audio & Optical Audio

    Both the HDMI Audio and Optical Audio is set to "Stereo Uncompressed" in my XBOX Settings Menu.

    Yes, I have tried connecting the Sound Bar to my TV. I don't have an Optical Input on my TV, so I used the Red / White RCA cables. The Sound Bar does not work from the TV - because it is not on the same HDMI input.

    (I have 7 inputs on my TV: XBOX One is on Input 7, and my cable box is on Input 8. The RCA Inputs are on Input 4.) When I connect the Red / White RCA cables to my cable box though, the Sound Bar works perfectly.

    This is what is confusing. HDMI sound and RCA sound is coming fine from the cable box. But, only HDMI sound is coming from the XBOX One. The Sound Bar is silent.

    Connections used:

    Optical from Xbox to Sound Bar + Xbox to TV HDMI

    Optical from Tv to Soundbar + Xbox to Tv HDMI

    XBOX to Soundbar via HDMI, Soundbar to TV HDMI

    XBOX To TV HDMI, TV to Soundbar HDMI (ARC)

    I checked Microsoft's instructions on how to connect things, and their recommendation is to connect the audio from the TV's output rather than directly from the Xbox 360 E. So check if you get sound from the Xbox 360 when switching the Pioneer system to
    the TV input.

    Audio Problems

    try unplugging the HDMI cable from your Xbox AND from your TV.

    Turn you TV on WITHOUT it connected.

    Turn your TV off, reconnect everything & try again.

    If not, try a different cable, or try connecting via componnent & see if you have sound.
