Can't Connect Xbox Wireless Controller to Windows 10 PC Anymore

Hello everyone,

I've recently encountered an issue with my Xbox Wireless Controller, which I used to connect seamlessly to my Windows 10 PC. However, it suddenly stopped working, and I can't seem to figure out why. I've tried using both the Bluetooth and USB connection methods, but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

Here's what I've done so far:

1. Updated Windows to the latest version.

2. Checked for any driver updates related to the controller.

3. Restarted my PC multiple times.

4. Tried pairing the controller with a different device, and it worked fine there.

Any advice on how I can fix this issue would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Thanks for reaching out to us and yes, you sure can! To clarify, it can't be simultaneously of course, but you can pair/sync your controller with any Xbox One console or Windows 10 device.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your controller whenever you use it on your Windows PC. As part of our troubleshooting, do you have a different USB cable that you can use to test? Please try to connect your controller directly to your motherboard at the back of your PC.

The latest Xbox controller firmware update may affect Bluetooth connectivity and performance with some non-Xbox devices. If your controller is having Bluetooth-related issues after a firmware update, you can choose to revert your controller to an earlier firmware version to correct the problem.

On your Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system > Xbox Support > Get help > Help topics > Hardware & networking > Controllers > My Xbox controller has connection issues after the last update. Select Check your controller’s firmware to open the controller firmware reversion screen in the Xbox Accessories app, and then follow the instructions in the app.

Mhh nobody got an idea? Can't believe i'm the only one with this Problem. Perhaps someone here has still working wireless Xbox 360 controllers on his/her Windows 10 PC or can even confirm that the wireless controllers don't work anymore...
