Can't connect Xbox controller to PC and Xbox at the same time

Dear all,

I'm trying to create a stream channel and I want to register my controller inputs on stream. I want to play the game on my Xbox One X and stream via my PC. For streaming I use OBS studio and gamepadviewer.com. I have an Xbox One Controller.

When I connect my controller to my PC via a cable, Windows is recognizing this it and the input are displayed in OBS. That is not the problem. But at the same time, my controller doesn't work anymore on my xbox.

Is there a solution to have the same controller on both systems? I see many people do it on stream, but they are all Playstation players. I would like to stick to my Xbox ;-)

I have no idea what the PlayStation people are doing, but the controllers will only sync to one device at a time

In addition to the replies,
this Xbox Support article will advise you on how many controllers you can attach to a PC (including Bluetooth), and has some other useful information, including a link to relevant firmware updates.

"With Xbox Wireless connections, you can connect 8 Xbox Wireless Controllers at the same time, or 4 controllers that have Xbox Chat Headsets attached. If the controllers have Xbox Stereo Headsets, only 2 can be connected at the same time."

You actually only need one Xbox wireless adapter to connect multiple controllers. If you want to use two adapaters in one single PC, it may work but if it confuses the system, you must unplug the other one.

When a cord is connected to the Xbox One controller it turns off the wireless function to work as a wired controller. Because of this the suggestion of using a USB wall charger
WILL NOT work.

The only way that you can use your Xbox One Controller on a W10 PC and play Xbox whilst charging the controller at the same time is to stream the game to your PC with the Xbox App if your PC meets the minimum requirements for it. If you don't want to do
this then the only thing to do is just connect a USB directly from your Xbox to your controller

Same problem for me ... impossible to install any driver for this adapter which is specially for W10 !!!!
