Can't connect Xbox 360 to PC

In years past we have been able to watch videos on the PC through the Xbox 360, which worked really well. Today I was setting the console up again after a recent move and now when I attempt to connect it, the message claims it can't find any PCs. We still
have the same equipment we've always had, and the connection to XBox Live is still normal. It's only the PC that the Xbox won't work with.

The only thing that's changed recently is the upgrade on the PC to Windows 10, which I suspect may be the cause of the issue but I'm not sure. I read Win10 did away with Windows Media Center, although that doesn't explain why the XBox 360 seems to think
it can't see the PC at all. If I have to I may just see about downgrading back to Windows 8.1, unless there's another workaround. I need this functionality back tonight.

Any thoughts?

Select source menu doesn't show my pc

Hello,

My issue contains the following problem: I can't connect my pc to the select source menu of my Xbox 360, however I allowed connection of Xbox 360 on my pc. Somehow it already made connection with my parent's pc, but not mine. :S

Can anyone explain me how to connect my pc to my Xbox 360? I don't think it's my pc which has to be configured, instead I think my Xbox 360 needs to be configured.

If anyone has a clue, I'd be greatfull for any help.

Reason why I'd like to connect my Xbox 360 to my pc is, because I want to play music and I'm too lazy to add an usb all the time. ;P

This option should be available to me either and would be way easier for me, so if anyone could help, please do so!

Connecting xbox 360 and wired rock band drums

Hello.

Can't connect xbox 360 and wired rock band drums. It works with PC. but xbox 360 do not connect.

On the box it marked letter "F" and s/n msx0hw05865.

I tested on two conoles.

May be u can sent me an instruction? Or help another way.

You have to set up sharing and homegroups again. Stop sharing media on your network via Windows Media Player, and re-enable it.

Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

You can't. You can connect Xbox 360's to monitors that have HDMI inputs, but you can't connect them to the PC directly as PC HDMI connectors are outputs only. The same is true for Laptop HDMI inputs.

If you have a PC monitor you're in luck. Otherwise it's going to be TV only.

If your PC is one of those all-in-one PCs with the computer located inside of the monitor case then this won't be possible either.

So you're saying I shouldn't have wasted all this money on the xbox one and stuck with the xbox 360?

why can't xbox 360 games be downloaded onto the xbox one? can't be much different then what they have in the game library on the xbox one.

and connection speed may play a part on my xbox one- just not on my xbox 360, pc, tablets, etc.

Are you referring to the Xbox 360 wireless network adapter, or the Xbox 360 wireless receiver to connect controllers to a PC?

Either way any adapter made for the Xbox 360 can't be used on an Xbox One console.

There aren't any drivers to download for Windows 10 as the drivers for Xbox 360 controllers are already built into the OS.

The Xbox 360 controller uses its own type of wireless protocol, it's not Bluetooth and so it can't be connected to a PC directly without additional hardware. It needs an Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver for use on a PC. This receiver needs to be specifically for Xbox 360 controllers. The receivers for the Xbox One controllers won't work either.
