Can't connect 'wired' Xbox

Our Xbox one will only connect wirelessly.

I wish to use the ethernet cable. It recognises the console as 'wired' but cannot connect.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Anyone having problems connecting to COD:AW multiplayer?

Looks like it was my wireless router maybe? I use a wired connection through my router but I was experiencing 100% packet loss through it according to Xbox multiplayer connection test. I connected through wireless and now it works with only 1% packet loss. Does this mean I need a new router even if the wireless works and wired connection doesn't? Every other game works fine online when my Xbox is wired. Just a CODAW issue.

i can't connect to xbox live on wired or wireless the system says that everything is connected but when i go to log in and connect to live i can't

 

Do a Power Cicle on your Xbox and see If It Works

 

If it doesn't, you should talk to Support

 

How do you talk to support!? When search I just get directed to virtual chat which did not help!

Step 1 ----select Xbox One

Step 2 ----select no thanks, then select category system update

Step 3-----gives some troubleshooting or help tips, select "Show contact options"

Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

Thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us! By any chance have you attempted to use a different ethernet cable or a different port on your modem/router?

Also, we suggest clearing out the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address) Since when the cache gets full it causes this type of errors:

To clear the Network Card Cache:

Settings

Network

Network Settings

Advanced Settings

Alternate MAC Address

Clear and Restart

If that doesn't work then we suggest a reset of the console since
the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
Soft Factory Reset (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

 

No option to request a call.

 

Try reconnect your modem and try clearing cache. Put
your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you .

Just to eliminate other possible causes if possible can you try connecting a PC/Laptop to your network with the same ethernet cable and socket of your router to make sure nothing else is causing the problem.
