1. "Can't connect to your wireless network"

"Can't connect to your wireless network" is the message I'm getting every single time I try to connect my Xbox One to the Internet now.

I've only had the console for about a week and everything with it worked perfectly until today, when I turned it on and it wasn't connected. I just assumed there was a reason for it and maybe I'd get an update or a message about it once reconnecting. But
I can't do that at all. Other devices in my house have no trouble connecting so I'm not sure what's actually causing the problem.

Posting here hoping for some help as the Xbox website and other Web results on the issue haven't helped much. I feel like I've tried most of the obvious things to try to resolve it, as well as the ones that are suggested by the Xbox. I'm now out of my own
ideas.

Made the mistake of resetting the console to as if it was brand new (but chose to keep games and apps). Now stuck at the console setup screen because it didn't resolve the issue. So not only am I without Internet connection, I can't even get past setup to
play offline :c

Any help is appreciated c: Thanks

:)

Having trouble with my wireless adapter (I think)

Greetings!

To me it sounds like your Wireless network adapter is is defective.

The flashing green light on your wireless network adapter would indicate that the adapter is
trying to connect to a wireless network.

Have you tried to connect your wireless adapter to a different USB port on your console?
Remove and replace wireless adapter
When you say, "replace", I assume you are referring to a simple, plug-it-back, after being removed, or?

Do you have the option to connect your wireless network adapter to a friends Xbox 360?

Try this. Perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Many times that will jump start the internal components of the console. Let us know. Good Luck!!

If the wireless card is not working in your console then you can either try running it wired or send it in for repair. To send it in for repair click this link Xbox One Support | Xbox 360 Support | Xbox Live and Billing Support then scroll
down and click on the "repair and service center" link to get the process started. Good Luck!

Can't connect to your wireless network

Hello there @RICHWALSH2, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed here is the official link to all the network troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out for you.

The link: Troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection | Xbox Support

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

Kind Regards

Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Can't connect to your wireless network

Hi there,

Please perform a full shut down of the console. Then, the next step will be to power cycle your modem and router. Once they are back online please reboot your XBox. This should correct the issue.
