    Hi, I just started trying to stream games to my laptop using Windows 10 and seconds after my laptop starts streaming, it disconnects, the stream closes and the message "Can't connect to your console. Make sure it's turned on and connected to the network."
    (even though after disconnecting it immediately connects to the console again) I've managed to launch different apps and games, but still, a few seconds after the stream would begin it would disconnect. My system meets all the hardware requirements, I'm connected
    using a wireless router and my Xbox and laptop are the only devices connected to the network. I can't use an ethernet cable, unfortunately, because of my laptop's distance from it and my Xbox's distance from it.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My console and my PC are on the same network and instant-on is turned on but it still says either "unable to connect to console. Make sure your device and console are connected to the same network" or "unable to turn on your console. Make sure your console
    and this device are connected to the same network and instant-on is on". Need a little help

    Can't get smartglass to connect

    Not sure what kind of "tinkering" you did, please explain. If I turn off the wifi on my iPad it does not work and says the app requires an internet connection to work. It then says, "Can't find an Xbox One to connect to. Is your console on, and connected to the same network as Smartglass?" I turned on the blue tooth, it did not work. I turned off blue tooth and turned on wifi and the app connected to the Xbox One. So in my case it would appear it is connecting through the router.

    Hey can you verify that you have given your console permission to communicate with other devices and "Allow game streaming". This can be done by going to Settings>Preferences on the console.

    I had the same problem make sure your headset is connected well and disconnect your headset from the controller then connect it again if problem still occurs turn off your controller and console and then turn it on and try talking

    Try these steps first:

    Turn off your console.

    Unplug all the audio and video cables (including headsets) from the back of your console.

    Connect only the HDMI cable to the back of your console. Then, connect the HDMI cable into an input for your TV.

    Make sure the sound is not muted and the volume is turned up on your TV.

    Make sure the console audio settings are correct for your combination of TV and cables.

    Update your console software.

    I'm not sure if a mobile wifi device is able to connect with a game console but I will mention a few steps in case they help you.

    (1)(a) Hold the power button on the front of your xb1 for about 20 seconds or untill the console turns off... (1)(b) wait a few minutes and switch the console back on. (1)(c) Try to connect to the router.

    (2) Check to make sure you are trying to connect to the correct wifi device.

    (3) Check to make sure you are typing the right password.

    If you still cant connect...

    (4) Turn off your router for about 60 seconds then turn it back on.

    repeat (2)&(3)

    If you still cant connect...

    (5) Try to connect a different device to the router

    repeat (2)&(3)

    If another device will not connect to your router there may be a problem with the router. Call your service provider and see what advice they give you.

    If another device connects to your router either leave it connected or disconnect it and try to connect your console.

    Have you tried to sign in to Xbox LIVE with a different profile on your console?

    Do not configure Port Forward or DMZ with multiple xboxes connecting to the same router. Turn off these features and make sure UPnP is turned on. Reset your Xbox network settings to factory defaults.

    Visit the manufactures website for your router and make sure you have the latest version of firmware.

    And yes, I've read that you tried with a direct connection.

    Yes! Your computer have to be turned on for bridge connection to work.
