Can't connect to xboxlive

A few days ago, while in either netflix or HuluPlus apps, XboxLive would randomly and completely disconnect. At first, I could just go to network settings, disconnect from my modem, re-enter the password, reconnect, and log back into XboxLive and keep
doing what i was doing. This time I got an error that said something about NAT. So, I called my internet provider and she, having worked for xbox, knew exactly what she needed to do. She changed all the port settings and security and it seemed to have been
fixed.

As of last night, it all changed. While watching a movie, i was kicked off of Xboxlive. I tried to go back and do my normal method, but it now said that the connection issue was between my modem and the internet. Called internet provider and nothing
was wrong with the modem or connection to the internet.

So, i let her reset our modem and I tried setting the network config to factory default. Didnt work. So I disconnected the xbox and the modem, waited and tried to set it all up again. It connected to the network, and then connected to XboxLive. When
i went to sign my profile on, it said it could not connect to XboxLive, and that i needed to check my connections.

So, redid the network test, and then got error that modem could not connect to internet again. Hence, on the modem, I pressed the little WPS button and waited until it flashed, and then tried the network test again. This time it connected to the network,
but would not connect to xboxlive. Redid the test, and it now would not connect to the internet. So i went to sleep.

This morning, tried all those same steps in different orders and still had the same issue. Turned xbox off, and on again and got a new message; I needed to download an update. Tried the first time, but it said xbox couldn't connect to the internet. At
that point, now my avatar was the grey default guy. Tried all those steps again, and still couldn't connect.

Turned the xbox off, then on again. Clicked the WPS button on modem, connected to network again and ran test, and it said i was on the internet and connected to xboxlive. Then instead of trying to sign into xboxlive first, I downloaded the update. It
took over 2.5 hours, but once it was complete, the xbox restarted on its own and then I was able to connect. So far no issues.



Has anyone else had this issue?

Can't download my brothers account and or Connect to xboxlive. Anyone know why ?

 

Can't connect to Xbox Live

I am having the same issue here, just dowloaded the update yesterday and can't connect to xboxlive now !

everything was running perfect before, i run the test all connections are ok except when i try to connect to xboxlive

Before we begin, could I have you answer a couple of questions, so that me, or anyone else that want to jump in, can have a better understanding of your situation.

WPS is used as a shortcut to configure a security method for your WLAN.

The best method is to configure this manually. Therefore, make sure WPS is disabled and configure your router's wireless settings manually.
