cant connect to xbox live

is the second time its happened in a week and its not just for a few hours its more than a day

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

Sorry to hear that you experienced issues connecting to Xbox Live.

I can confirm on the date you made the post there was in fact an issue that came up which meant the service was down.

From what I read it was to do with European ISP's but the engineers worked on it for 2-3 days and managed to fix the issue now.

You can always check the status page at any time just to check if there are any service alerts.

Hi from Barcelona, Spain. I can't connect still from 19/08 (I think is the last time I got connexion) so you told that is all fixed, not in my case...I have a good connexion on the Internet (PC, mobile, tablet...) when I do the test for Xbox Live is all
ok except for Live. Even now I got the error 80151911, when I have always entered correctly and quickly. Do you know if it is going to last more time?, I paid a gold subscription for a year two months ago, and really with issues like this...well I hope it
is going to be solved soon. Thx.

I have looked up the error code you supplied in your post and I have found the following solution:

Error 80151911 occurs when connecting to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360

You see the following error code and message when you try to connect to Xbox Live:

Can't connect to Xbox Live. Please try again later

Status code: 80151911

This may mean one of the following:

There's a temporary problem with the Xbox Live service.

There’s a problem with your network set up.

The files on a storage device are corrupted.

Solutions

Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status

Go to the Xbox Live status page to see whether the service is up and running. If there are any service alerts, wait a while and then try again.

Solution 2: Troubleshoot your connection to Xbox Live.

Run the Xbox Live Connection Test. Here's how:

1. Press the guide button on your controller.

2. Select Settings, System Settings and then Network Settings.

3. Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.

4. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.

Ok SOLVED. If this easy solution can help somebody: TURN OFF your ROUTER wait a few seconds, TURN ON your ROUTER, wait you connexion is OK, after TURN ON your XBOX and it is made. Thx.
