Can't connect to XBOX Live

Hey Londar!

I've seen this code reported multiple times this evening, which leads me to believe it's related to the ongoing server issues Xbox Live is currently experiencing. I've also had people say they're able to login, only to have to login again a few seconds later,
and someone who said their Xbox was affected while their Brother's in the other room wasn't, which makes it sound even more like it's part of the server issues.

I'd give this a few hours and let everything return to normal. Hopefully that will fix your problem and you'll be able to login like normal!

When I try to login to Xbox Live, it brings up the security prompt asking me to confirm my email and password. After I have done so, it will attempt to log me in, but it then fails and gives the error code: 800705B4 even after I checked the Xbox Live status.
I'm not the only user on the console and the other user is able to login just fine.

Unfortunately the best advice right now is to "wait it out" since there's not really any troubleshooting we can do if the issue is on the Xbox Live side.

I've got the issue as well. Are there any updates on a resolution?

 

Lost Xbox live connection about 8:45PM (Eastern) while watching a show on Hulu. I haven't been able to reconnect since.

Upon power on, the Xbox will not sign in to Xbox live. I have to go to select sign in to live and then I'm asked to verify my log in and password, both of which are remembered by the unit. I'll then get a partial xbox live login, see how many friends
are online, and then the window to remember the password pops up. A few moments after hitting A to continue a window pops up with the error code 800705b4.

I also had trouble logging in to xbox.com to research this problem. So I'm not sure if this is a system problem or perhaps my account received special attention from some of all those bad guys I've blown away over the past year.

I've tried clearing the catch with no luck. I'm going to wait until I find out more from support before deleting my profile and downloading it. Since I had trouble logging in to Xbox from my computer, I'm thinking the issue is on Xbox's side at this point.

2010). Attempted DDoS attacks may also be prosecuted (users.atw.hu/.../ch08lev1sec2.html).

Private parties that play the role of an intermediary along the vector of DDoS attack, such as ISPs, may also press civil charges to recoup their financial losses on the grounds of a violation of the “terms of service” agreement, which, by the way, has validity
tantamount to a legal contract. Serious violations may lead to a lawsuit for breach of contract and even trespass to chattels

They also broke the Terms of Serves at the highest level so hats off to the ban hammer when they find their accounts.

And if it anyone says that they have some kind of right to do so, they don't for the following reasons.

1) they hacked Microsoft which is tied to most of the us computer goods (even if it's the xbox live branch)

2) they are not Anonymous, they have a face and what ever the reason they are hacking and Disrupting people from using xbox live will not justify the means, this is also the same for Anonymous itself for hacking Sony, it was a backlash.

3) A post said they did it because they were losing on xbox live, again that does not justify your actions and it shows you can't take a loss. Microsoft may be... shifty, but knocking everyone off line because you're bad at a game isn't going to make you
look any better, that's just the truth.

4) crap like this is why Sopa and Pipa happened and I hope people are on guard for that, it's also a reason people are going to try DRm again... hopefully we can fix we can fix that.

anyway I don't like being knocked off line at all, and when I pay for something to play online no just no I want microsoft to do something about this.

 

Well Skunkboy74 I'm certainly hoping that is the case, we'll see though. I just don't understand how I'm receiving this error on one of two devices only, both connected to the same network using the same profiles and I've tried wired connecting it so I'm
certain it's not an interference issue... I just would have thought that if it was a server side problem that both my devices would be effected by it.

Well this sucks. Xbox live is still down.

Alright so lets try to explain this as thoroughly as possible from the beginning. I own 2 Xbox's and both was experiencing an ICMP Error on both of them earlier today, that has now been resolved and only one of them is now experiencing a 800705b4 Error.
The xbox having the issue would originally not allow me to sign in to my main profile, requiring me to input my email and password for verification it would then come up with the error during the verification process. I attempted to sign into my alternate
profile which it allowed me to do,so I rebooted the xbox and attempted to sign into my original profile again which worked like a charm except it would immediately freeze upon trying to go to anything but the home screen or system settings >.< From here
I'll just list things I've done and sum up the results at the end.

1.) Deleted System Cache (Brought back the security message and now has it on my secondary profile as well which was expected, however I now get the error code again)

2.) Deleted all profiles and re-downloaded them from Live (No results)

3.) Removed and reinserted HD (honestly expected nothing from that which was exactly what I got lol)

4.) Formatted my HD, re-downloaded all profiles (Nothing)

For a few more added details I obviously have tried all the basic tech solutions in regards to the router and xbox, I'm pretty confident the source of the problem is directly related to this one xbox. The other xbox is currently working perfectly, I can sign
on to either of my profiles and access anything I would normally be able to. In total I've been troubleshooting this and my earlier issue for.. jesus 6 hours now lol (which reminds me, the xbox that is having issues is running INCREDIBLE SLOW, the kind of
slow that makes you go OMFG HOW IS IT GOING THIS SLOW?), so I'm passing it along to minds wiser than my own hah.
