Issues with system update for Xbox live

it wont let me install the xbox live update and connect to xbox live

Status Code: 3F4A 0000 0080 0200 8015 1911

Xbox says i need to update so i hit yes, then xbox says it cant download update and i wont be able to connect to live until i do update. i get this error code. ive tried all kinds of trouble shooting to no avail. help me out!

Can you try change your console's DNS settings (primary, secondary) to a public DNS server as follows:

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.

Select Configure Network.

On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.

Select Manual.

Select Primary DNS Server.

Enter 8.8.8.8

Select Secondary DNS Server.

Enter 8.8.4.4

Select Done again.

Press the B button on your controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Can you also tell us if you have the Xbox 360 with the internal 4GB flash memory, and if so, does this storage device shows as
"Unformatted"

Post back and let us know how that goes.

I am having the same issue. I have the 4GB model and it did show my storage device as "Unformatted". I have since formatted the storage device, cleared cache, tried using a 16GB USB device as a storage device and also tried updating via USB with the same
result.....

Please help me get this updated so my kids can use this again....they are having Minecraft Withdrawal

Yes, says unformatted Ive tried everything that TheSuperHoosier did nothing worked, I also downloaded the update to a usb stick, it still dosent load the update from that. It goes 3/4 of the way and stops loading.

i use WiFi i can connect to the network and internet but wont connect to xbox live? been doing this for 2 days and now it wont let me download the new update?....
