Can't connect to Xbox Live party.

When I join a party, everything looks normal but I can't hear anyone and no one can hear me. The blue rings don't light up either unless I'm in a party alone. My headset works and my nat type is open but anytime in a party with someone I can't hear them.
I've hard reset, restarted, and unplugged my xbox but nothing seems to work.

Can't connect to Xbox Live Parties

Every time I try to connect to a Xbox live Party it says Can't Connect to Party. I also can't connect to Private Chat as well.

I cleared my cache.

 

Disconnected from Xbox live

Oddly enough, I'm no longer being kicked from Xbox Live every 20-30 mins but I can't seem to accept party invitations ; I get the error "can't connect to xbox live party". Thoughts?

If not I suggest to give a try. Also be sure that your controller is linked with your account.

 

Your problem can also be caused by your friends inability to be in a party due to their NAT. Also, some games at times don't allow party chat for whatever reason so game chat is required. Good luck!
