cant connect to xbox live party chat

just moved and only have Hughes-net gen4 available for internet. for some reason i cant use the party chat to talk to my friends online. the only time it works is when i party with my brother and he is in the next room. is there something i can do to
fix this? any help with my problem would be greatly appreciated.

I agree Party Chat Sucks im a long time XBOX fan but this has killed it. Half the time we cant even connect to the party chat. change it back to how it was.

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down?

Ok, your download speed is alright and your upload could be better but the most worrisome thing you've got going against you is your ping. Over 700 ms is way too high. It should be at least lower than 150 ms for best results.

Are you able to try power cycling your modem/router by unplugging them for 5 seconds?

Yep, I mean what router or modem, gateway You use and how they connected to Your Xbox One.
