Can't connect to Xbox live or figure out why

Yeah I figured that before getting it set up but after hearing a lot of success stories I figured it would be worth a try. Still, I'm curious as to why RE5 worked flawlessly and didn't lag at all. It sucks living out in the middle of practically nowhere,
we can't get DSL or any high speed connections.

Would the bridge method work a bit better than the wireless adapter? Check it out:

Hey carl. I would be more than glad to help you figure out why you can't connect to xbox live But we need more information in the situation. Please provide information like where the test fails. Is it at the router? internet? Live?

are you wireless or wired?

Do other computers connect?

Please provide a little more detail.

Subsequent to my post, I moved the xbox to a temporary location and connected it hardwire and the xbox connected to the Actiontec V1000H via ethernet cable with no issues. Now just to figure out why I can't do it wirelessly.

Okay... may have spoken a little too soon. Tried my xbox today, and it still won't auto-sign in to Xbox Live. I don't need to run the connection test anymore, it seems, because it logged me in within 15 seconds of me hitting the "Connect to Xbox Live" option,
but still, my problem remains pretty much the same. My 360 will not auto-connect to Live, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why.
