Can't connect to Xbox Live (obviously)

So we had a thunderstorm, lightning struck outside my window and bam, power goes out for a second. Xbox 360 comes back on with 3 red lights on it, I turn it off and wait out the storm. Now I try to connect to live and I cannot.

Error status codes:

W: 0000-000B

X: 4000-1001

Y: 0000-0000

Z: 0000-0000

ID: FFFF-FFFF

L: 0015-10F1

Q: 8007-0435

T: Wired

A: my ip address

G: 0.0.0.0

D: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0

When exactly does XboxOne require net connection?

it can be played offline if that's what your asking, you have to install your tiltle's first though, if your connected it will want an update, otherwise just install your game and play, if you want xbox live connection is required obviously

 

Xbox Live Not Connecting

I'm suddenly having problems as well. I actually played a little this morning, then turned off the Xbox for an hour or so. Now I'm trying to play some more, but I can't connect to Xbox Live. All my ports are configured properly, and I power cycled the router
and modem. Still won't connect. Obviously, I'm able to talk here right now, so I have internet connectivity.

 

Please tell me that's a joke. I can still play offline so it shouldn't be messed up that bad, right? I can't afford a new xbox or hard drive or repairs...

 

yeah sadly it sounds like something did get fried in there that is why you should always make sure delicate electronics like game consoles HDTV etc are unplugged when it gets to be bad storms.

 

He's right. Usually 3 red rings of death means either your tv quality was changed with your hdmi was plugged in and your Xbox was on.. Learned that the hard way, or your Xbox is moving into its corrupt state. When this happened to my Phat Xbox 360. It did
this whenever it turned on, I let it sit for about 2-5 mins, turn it off, then turn it back on. Then your can play it until your turn it off again. If you have a slim, put everything on a different drive, clear system cache on current one a few times, then
format it (note, this deletes everything upon thing current Xbox 360'storage device you selected or pressed "Y" on. Otherwise move everything onto a different memory unit/hard drive, usually with a transfer cable other wise it takes FOREVER. Them, buy a new
Xbox, and put all your content on there. (Note, this process usually costs about $200-$300. I'm am not super aware but this issue happened to my brothers slim, luckily he just got his Xbox, so the warranty was valid, check and see if your warranty is still
valid.

this would indicate there is no Gateway and no dns entry, could you check this?

if they are not set, in most cases the Gateway is your Routers ip address (usually like 192.168.***.1), in some cases, this is provided by your isp - then you have to use pppoe Settings

for dns Settings you may try

Primary 8.8.8.8

secondary 8.8.4.4

 

Yeah, there's nothing because it can't obtain an IP address because it can't even connect to my home network.

 

It's fried man.. Trade your Xbox in, you get it cheap that way. Don't get an Xbox One though.. $400 is too much for a gaming console.
